Symbol

Description

Red Exclamation Mark

A red exclamation mark indicates that a team doesn't have all its sprints mapped properly for the current increment. It appears on the summary view.

A 'squiggly' line

This symbol represents dependencies, and is usually clickable. Clicking it will allow you to display the team's dependencies in the Summary View.

A coloured-in 'blob'

Each oval represents a single Feature (Jira Epic / Azure DevOps Feature).

The fill colour of the Feature oval represents its RAG (Red, Amber, Green) status. A Feature oval with blue fill means the work for this Feature is complete. Grey means the feature has been deferred in this increment.

The number in the Feature oval is the unique BigAgile ID for the Feature. In Detailed view, this is prefixed with an "F-" followed by the number.

πŸ’‘Tip: You can use the unique BigAgile ID to sort/search Features in the Delivery-Features view.

πŸ’‘Tip: Clicking on the Feature oval will open a side-modal where you can see the corresponding Jira/Azure DevOps ID. This is also a quick access to all Feature details, including children stories and a link to Jira/Azure DevOps.

πŸ’‘Tip: Hovering over the Feature oval will show all of the Feature's dependencies.

A hollow 'blob', with a colour outline

Each hollow oval represents a single Dependency.

The colour outline represents the RAG (Red, Amber, Green) status of the Dependency. The displayed number is the unique BigAgile ID for the Dependency.

πŸ’‘Tip: You can use the unique BigAgile ID to sort/search Dependencies in the Delivery-Dependencies view.

πŸ’‘Tip: Hovering over a Dependency oval will highlight all dependent Features.

πŸ’‘Tip: Clicking on a Dependency will bring up the details of the Dependency, including Target Features and specific stories.

An exclamation mark

An exclamation mark against a Feature means that we are unable to determine its estimated completion Sprint .

This can be fixed by ensuring:

  1. There are stories associated with this Feature

  2. The stories are assigned to a Sprint in the current Program Increment (PI)

  3. All Sprints are correctly mapped against their owning teams. You can see more information about how to map Sprints here.

A diamond

Each diamond represents a single Milestone.

The placement of the diamond above the Product Increment grid is determined by its projected drop date. In the example on the left, we have projected hitting 2 Milestones in Sprint 3 of our 4th Product Increment (PI).

πŸ’‘Tip: Hovering over a milestone shows the title and exact date of the milestone. The delivery board will be filtered to only show Features that are linked to the Milestone and any related Dependencies. Move mouse away to show all.

πŸ’‘Tip: Clicking on a Milestone will lock the Delivery view to only show the Milestone Features and their dependencies. Click again to show all.
